what states are you able to offer services in?

I am in licensed in North Carolina, Texas, and Connecticut. I can also provide services in many other states depending on the licensure laws of the State. Please reach out if you have any questions! 

how long do we work together for?

I recommend weekly or biweekly sessions when first starting out. This will allow you to receive the support, skills, and accountability to feel confident in your goals and treatment plan. Most folks work with me for several months up to a few years, depending on the level of support you need.

do you offer weight loss services?

I identify as a weight-inclusive RD. This means that I provide services to improve your health without a direct focus on weight loss. I will absolutely hold space for your desire to lose weight and body image concerns. There is a body of research that shows health can actually be improved without weight loss and dieting!

what if you don't accept my insurance plan?

I am happy to provide you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if you have any out of network benefits (called a Superbill). I also accept payment through credit/debit cards or HSA/FSA cards. I do hold a few lower-cost sliding scale slots if you are unable to afford the private pay rate. 

what do we talk about in session?

It depends! Sessions are always a safe space for you to talk about your relationship with food, body image, and any fears you have with making changes to your nutrition habits. We will work together to make sure you are meeting your body's nutrition needs and address your primary goals for the week. We may create a grocery list, do some meal planning, or help you understand a nutrition concept you are confused about.
